Forest Avenue Outreach Orchard to Table Dinner, by SatisHouse

Join Forest Avenue Outreach for an evening celebration- of local food, community, and the growth of our orchard this season. We are honored to host chef Jenetta Hargrove of SatisHouse LLC who has prepared a menu that features local ingredients from our orchard and other Des Moines growers.

Orchard to Table Menu:
Local Leaves- Fresh Greens and Watermelon Radish with a Mountain Mint Vinaigrette
Local Roots- Carrot and Ginger Bisque
Local Seeds- A Crispy Iowa Corn Fritter Topped with a Soft Boiled Egg, Sauteed Onion and Roasted Squash Seeds
Local Sweets- Featuring FAO Beehives

Our board members will host a garden, beehive, and orchard tour starting at 4pm. Dinner will be served at 5pm, accompanied by local musicians. Beer and wine will be available through cash donation.

This dinner is limited to 50 attendees; tickets are $40 each (but kids eat free!). If you’re not able to attend and would like to support us, we welcome you to make a $35 donation and sponsor a seat for someone else!
