9/24 Community Forum

VegLife Des Moines is a volunteer-led initiative that began in 2017. We’re celebrating five years of serving the vegan community and have loved seeing veganism become more acceptable in Des Moines. Thank you to all of the people who have supported us through board service, volunteering, financial donations, sharing our events on social media or with friends, and of course, attending our events. Thank you for supporting us over the past five years! We love you ❤

We’re entering into a transition for the year 2023 with Amy Luebbert stepping aside from the board at her current capacity. We want to hear from the community about what VegLife DM has meant to you, how you’d like to see the organization continue, and what support for the organization is out there.

We’re hosting two community forums to casually connect with you about the next steps for VegLife Des Moines. These gatherings will be for sharing/brainstorming – the more people the better. If you’ve been to a VegLife DM event in the past or support our work, you’re invited to join us. We will have vegan snacks – yay!

Please mark your calendar to join us for one or both of the sessions on:

• Saturday, September 24 from 2-3pm at Tower Park (4900 Hickman RD, Des Moines IA 50310)
• Sunday, October 2 from 3-4pm at Evelyn K Davis Park (1400 Forest Ave, Des Moines IA 50311)

We have reserved the outdoor shelters at each location so the event will carry on rain or shine. This is a family-friendly event with both parks having play spaces.
