Take a Hike, Veg Friends!

August 11, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Join VegLife Des Moines in celebrating nature as we venture into Brown’s Woods for a nature hike! Meet us at the Brown’s Woods parking lot at 9am where we’ll be ready and waiting for you with vegan breakfast treats and coffee to help give you pep in your step!

There are four trail options to choose from, ranging from .5 miles up to 2 miles (or if you combine them all 4 miles!) making this a family friendly event. There may even be surprises in the woods for you! In addition to collecting nuts, fruit or edible mushrooms, there will vegan goodies hidden among the trees! .

You won’t want to miss a relaxing morning hike through Brown’s Woods. We highly recommend wearing closed toe shoes as you’ll encounter gravel/dirt trails, uneven terrain, and some small inclines.

Bring along your:
Reusable water bottle – we will have a cooler for refills
Reusable coffee cup
Bug spray and hats
A chair to chill in before/after, if you desire

We will be accepting cash or credit donations to support VegLife Des Moines. Thank you for helping us keep our social events low to no cost. Our mission is to inspire and educate about the impact of our choices on animals, the environment, and people.
