Vegan Potluck: Taco Night – CANCELLED

We have decided to cancel the April potluck in light of the First Unitarian Church of Des Moines’s choice to close their doors indefinitely. Come back for our ‘Around the World’ potluck in May!
3/14/20 Update:
At this time, the First Unitarian Church of Des Moines has closed its doors due to COVID-19. If the doors remain closed on April 2nd this event will be cancelled. Please check back here for updates. Stay safe out there!
We love community (vegan) potlucks! You’re invited to join us the first Thursday of the month with a different theme each month. Whether you’re a herbivore or omnivore, you’re invited to enjoy good food and great company. Please bring a list of ingredients with your dish and a beverage for yourself.
During Taco Night, we’ll bring the shells, you bring the fillings, sides and desserts. Fillings can be: beans, rice, greens, tomatoes, olives, onions, salsa, “beef” crumbles, etc.
The event is free and open to the public. While there is a theme each month, it is optional to bring a dish in keeping with the theme – don’t let it hinder you from coming! It’s a way to explore new things and have some fun.
Don’t forget all dishes must be vegan – no animal products including meat, dairy, eggs, honey.
It isn’t necessary to bring tableware (plates, bowls, silverware) as we use the dishware available at the church. There is access to a microwave and stove/oven as well if needed.
Doors open at 5:45pm.
